GENERAL INFORMATION FOR POLICE OFFICER POSITION

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age; Must have GA P.O.S.T. Peace Officer Certification. Must be in good standing with P.O.S.T. (No active investigations or Probation with P.O.S.T.). Successful completion of the pre-employment process, which includes, in the following order: a Written Selection Test, an Oral Interview Board, a Background Investigation, a Polygraph Examination, a File Review, an Interview with the Chief of Police and a Medical and Drug Screening. Must possess a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.

Benefits:
Starting salary: $51,121 SWORN; $40,000 NON-SWORN while in academy, then $49,121.00

12-hour shifts (Patrol Division)
Take Home Patrol Car (If the officer resides within 25 miles of the city limits)
